Health Care District Board Seeks Community Members For Quality Committee

February 21, 2014

The Sonoma Valley Health Care District Board announced it is seeking two new community members for its Quality Committee. The Quality Committee serves as the steward for overall quality improvement in Hospital operations and works with the Hospital’s Quality staff to ensure the Hospital provides high quality medical care and patient experiences. The current openings are non-voting, volunteer positions.

According to Sharon Nevins, Board Chair, health care experience is desirable but not essential. She noted that residents willing to share their expertise in such areas as quality control, quality assurance and customer service in other industries are encouraged to apply.

The Quality Committee meets at the Hospital at 5 pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Non-voting alternatives are expected to participate in all meetings. As voting member vacancies occur, there will be an opportunity to become a voting member.

Interested persons who live within the Health Care District may obtain an application at the Hospital’s Administration Office, 347 Andrieux Street, Sonoma, California 95476, week days from 8 AM to noon and 1 PM to 4:30 pm, or by e-mail from Gigi Betta, Board Clerk at ebetta@sonomavalleyhospital.org.

Completed applications may be delivered to the Hospital in person during normal business hours or mailed to the address listed above. All applications should be received no later than the close of business on Friday, March 21, 2014.
