Sonoma Valley Hospital is now offering no-cost mammogram screenings year-round for uninsured and underinsured Sonoma Valley women who are 40 years or older. The screening program, known as Project Pink, is made available as a community service through a special grant from the Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation. Project Pink breast screenings use the Hospital’s 3D Mammography System with state-of-the-art technology for improved accuracy. To date the program has served hundreds of women with vital healthcare and has been expanded to year-round in 2022 to make these services available to women who need them the most when they need them.

Executive Director of Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation Dave Pier said, “The Foundation is committed to ensuring that women have access to mammograms and cancer screening care. The success of Project Pink is a direct result of the generosity of our community to make the funding available for the delivery of these important diagnostic services.”

The program is open for women who:

  • Are 40 years or older
  • Have not had a mammogram within the past 12 months
  • Live or work in Sonoma Valley
