Sonoma Valley Hospital Hosts Ceres Healthy Eating Class

Sonoma Valley Hospital will host “Healing Foods Basics” on August 26, a special class that is part of Ceres Community Project’s Nutrition Education Program, offering information, motivation, and inspiration to those seeking to make positive changes to their diet and lifestyle.

This introductory class helps participants to make the connection between good health and the food and lifestyle factors that influence it, offering an Ceres_ HFB_Flyer_Sonoma_August 2015 (2)overview of Ceres’ nutrient-rich approach to healthy eating. Topics include: Whole food nutrition basics, shopping strategies, foods to add and to avoid, eating well on a budget, and healthy lifestyle choices.

The class is led by Thais Harris NC, Ceres Nutrition Education Program Manager, and will be held in the basement conference room at Sonoma Valley Hospital from 6:00-8:00 pm on August 26. The hospital is located at 347 Andrieux Street in the city of Sonoma.

Cost for the class is based on a sliding scale of $10-$35, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
